Ohio Kentucky Twisty Ride

Description:  Our morning will start off with us rolling through some back country roads on the eastern side of Ohio bringing us down to State Route 52 where we will float across the Ohio river to Augusta, Kentucky.  Once back on land, we will pass by Rosemary Clooney’s house and take a shortstop at a boat launching area in Augusta off the Ohio River.  Now here is where some fun will start riding Kentucky twisty roads that will bring us to Falmouth Kentucky to have lunch at El Paso Mexican restaurant (for those that are not a fan of Mexican food there is a McDonald’s across the street).  After lunch, we will continue our spirited ride through more twists and turns in Kentucky eventually getting on Interstate 275 returning to the Keg late afternoon.

If you are looking for a relaxing cruise, this is not the ride for you. But if you want a spirited ride slicing through some good corners, this ride will satisfy that craving.

Road Conditions:  There is a lot of road construction going on in Ohio and Kentucky, with that said be prepared as sections of the roads have deteriorated some and will have tar snakes!

Costs:  Gas, $3.00 for the Augusta Ferry & Lunch

Miles:  Approximately 200 miles

Lunch Stop:  El Paso Mexican Restaurant     Menu

 

Break Stops:  About every 40 or 50 miles
                      

Staging: 8:00 am behind Wendy’s 5316 Kings Island Dr. Mason Ohio 45040

 

Kickstands Up: 8:30am

 

Return Time: Late Afternoon
