Event date:

Ride: Motts Military Museum Ride

Description:  Join me in a full day ride to the Motts Military Museum in Groveport, Ohio.  We will take backroads through south central Ohio towards Columbus and arrive around 10:30am.  We'll visit the museum until 12:30pm and drive three miles to have a picnic lunch at Black Lick park.  After an hour for lunch, we'll head back to the Keg on more country backroads.  So yes, you will need to bring your lunch!  There are some shelters at the park. If you are a history buff, this is a ride you will definitely enjoy.  Motts Museum was originally established in the Motts 1870 family home and moved in 1999 to a 51,000 square foot facility on four acres of land.  Over time, the museum had to expand because of items such as military vehicles and aircraft.  They even have a Higgins boat from WWII.  With donated funds and volunteer tradesmen to help build, a wing was added in 2015.  Even if you don't care for history, you can still enjoy the ride and your HOG friends!
